Bonjour! from Paris

Abpict0959 I was in Paris for 5 days starting 27 May 2005. My uncle treated us all his ‘anak  buah’ for a visit, so I guess its my rezki. Paris was beautiful. Very old buildings and monuments, very well preserved. The city is calm and not busy. The cars are dashingly cool, so are the bikes. one thing about the people is they dont speak English! they speak French, or other European language, but not English - they learn it, but they dont speak em. So are all the TV shows and movies - everything is translated to Frech - even ‘Charmed’ - the Kif_0661_1most popular series..

Of course, what is a visit to Paris without a visit to the famous Eiffel Tower! standing strong at the end of our apartment road, in bronze, and blinking at night, its a memory you’ll never forget - visiting the monument.

At the other end of the road is a big arch, in the middle of a big roundabout with 17 junctions meeting. figures of men and maiden are carved on its 4 pillars.

We also visited THE painting - MONA LISA by Leonardo da Vinci - in Abpict1021the art museum. Several other paintings, sculptures, even mummies, are in store. everything was collected from their once conquered lands.Abpict1068

Does Quasimodo, Esmeralda, and the Gargoyles of Notre Dame rings a bell? We entered Notre Dame Cathedral to see for ourselves the famous Huncback of Notre Dame place. its a church, with people still praying and sing carols there as we ventured the inside of it.

Other than that, we took a boat ride along the river of Paris city, where all important bulidings and monuments are by the riverside, just like what we learned in school - where water transportation is the main transportation in the early ages. It is truly a visit back to past time.

The best part of visiting Paris is a one whole day spent in Disneyland Paris! Oooo.. how exiting it was, having to meet all the princesses, and the characters, and get on the most wicked, stomach squeezing rides - the meanest would be the Space Mountain ride. We were ’shooted’ out of a cannon and Abpict1095let free to a roller coaster. I also got to meet Belle from Beauty and the Beast! ( a sAbpict1093atisfied child inside me felt so happy )

That was some of the main events in visiting Paris, the city of Love, a city full of Sculptures and Gardens, just like in the Middle Ages…
